Terms & Conditions of staying at Casa del Sole

1. Your deposit is non-refundable on cancellation of your holiday (we would expect your own holiday insurance to cover this eventuality)
2. Your balance is payable on arrival in euros - fixed exchange rate of 1.5 euro to the £.
3. Any 'additional extras' to be paid for on the spot or bills settled before departure.
4. Arrivals should be between 4pm and 8pm on the first Saturday. Please arrive no later that 8pm unless by prior aranggment. If you have been delayed you must call Casa del Sole to inform us that you will be late. 0572 478034.
5. You must vacate your rental house by 10am on your final Friday
6. The proprietors are not liable for any damage to persons or their property at Casa del Sole unless caused by their own criminal neglect.
7. Any damage to property of Casa del Sole must be reported immediately to the owners & cost of repairs paid for on the spot.
8. Every guest must have full holiday insurance.
9. Children under 12 years of age must be supervised at all times.
10. The Chestnut House has steep steps to the bedroom & is unsuitable for anyone with mobility difficulties or young children.
11. Guests must understand that Casa del Sole is a working farm. This means that farm equipment & machinery is often in use.
12. Care must be taken not to touch or allow children to touch any such equipment.
13. In the cold months guests will be provided with sufficient wood to heat their property in the the evenings. If further wood is required this is on sale by the bag at the farm.
14. Smoking is allowed inside the rental properties - except the Lodge) but not outside in the months of May - September inclusive (extreme fire hazard)
15. It is illegal to light a fire outside between the months of June & August (inc.) Please do not light any fires on our property.
16. Barbequing is only allowed in the designated areas & a bucket of water must always be to hand. In very dry years the use of our pizza oven and barbeques may be banned by the Commune.
17. No climbing of Olive or Fruit trees or damaging crops in any way
18. Car parking is 200 yards from the rental houses - your bags will be collected from your car in our mini-tractor on arrival. Please bring 'sensible' shoes for walking to and from the parking area.
19. All linen & towels are provided (apart from beach towels - please bring your own).
20. Guests staying more than one week will have a change of linen and towels on Saturdays.
21. Water at Casa del Sole is limited in summer as it is drawn from a stream - it is your responsibility to conserve as much as possible. Failure to do so can result in 'rationing'.
22. The tap water comes straight from our stream - it is unadvisable to drink this without boiling it first.
23. Electricity is also limited as we are so far away from the main supply - please bear this in mind & do not leave lights on unnecessarily.
24. Mosquitoes are present in Tuscany - bring plenty of insect repellent.
25. For your own safety it is necessary to wear shoes/sandals out of doors at all times.
26. Please respect other peoples privacy & not make noise after 11pm
